Looking for creative inspiration? Try visiting a Farmers Market! We found loads of goodies and I felt my creative juices flowing after our visit.

Confession time. (again)
Summer was amazing and wonderful and busy and full and joyous and messy and . . . and it took its toll on me.
I’ve known some Fall projects were sneaking up on me, but I simply could not find in myself any desire, direction, motivation or inspiration.
I think the phrase is “BURNT OUT”.
Does that ever happen to you? I sure hope I’m not the only one!
At any rate, I had decided to take part in a Wayfair challenge for bloggers to share how we enjoy the harvest season. It sounded intriguing and exciting at the time (when I was not yet burnt out), but when it came time to share this with you, I was indeed at a loss.
In fact, I have other Fall projects coming upon me, and a desire to spruce up our home for the Fall to delight my children . . . but the inspiration I needed was not there.
But I am so grateful that on a Saturday morning whim, we decided to go visit the Farmers Market as a family. I was driven by my desire for fresh tomatoes and peaches.
I did find delectable fresh tomatoes and peaches, but I also found my inspiration.
It was as if the market struck a chord inside, and the creativity came bursting out!
This was all totally unexpected, but very welcome (and needed). I instantly came home and had a desire to take some images of the lovely produce and fresh goods we brought back with us.
While doing so, I also felt so inspired by the Fall colors that I finally discovered the color palate I want to use in my home for the Fall season and for my Fall home tours . . . something I couldn’t quite seem to envision before. (Last year was a lot of oranges and blues)
This lovely set of copper flatware I discovered while shopping on Wayfair, paired with some fresh produce really instigated my inspiration.
The Fall colors I picked may be a little unconventional, but I’m excited to challenge myself and share my ideas with you! I’d love to hear your guesses for what colors you think I’ll be decorating with, so feel free to take your best guess in the comments below. Then I’ll be back to reveal the colors in a photo gallery type post very soon!
But for now, I want to take you along on our visit to the Farmers/Harvest Market. I hope it will leave you inspired to visit one yourself before the Harvest season is over, and gain the creative inspiration that can be found there.
First, I armed my family all with baskets to help carry any goods we bought along the way.
When we first walked in, the smell of fresh breads and pastries greeted us. They were so very beautiful!
Then we took some time viewing all the lovely arts and crafts that were on display and for purchase. I just love seeing creative entrepreneurs at work!
There was even this sweet young gal trying desperately to sell her floral arrangements to my daughter.
I loved imagining her carefully crafting all these lovely bouquets. It was so inspiring!
Then we made our way over to the foods, and were delighted to discover fresh local honey for sale, and their bees on display.
All the lovely colors and smells from the locally grown produce was such a sight to see.
We have found this is not the time in our lives to be raising big gardens, but oh how I admire those who do!
The whole place was buzzing with people and 4 legged friends, and I felt renewed and refreshed.
Which led to an impromptu photo shoot, and having fun being creative again.
And frozen berries for days 😉
How do you find creative inspiration when you get burned out? I’d love to hear! (Because it will probably happen again just after the Holidays!)
Stay tuned for my Fall color palate reveal! It’s gonna be good!
I’m gonna go ahead and guess black and forest green ?
I think maybe orange, purple, and white. Whatever you do will be beautiful.
Hmm I going to take a wild guess and say purples and teals for your fall colors and maybe some creams too. Looks like you had a fun time and I think I’m going to talk hubby into going to the farmers market this weekend. I need a little inspiration myself and I so desperately need to get out!
