Here to share the official launch of our printed cookbook, Master the Electric Pressure Cooker!  Read on for a peek into our thoughts and emotions as this enfolds for us.  Let me walk you through the inside of the book, and enter our 4 book giveaway by leaving a comment below!

Introducing our cookbook | Master the Electric Pressure Cooker

Let’s rewind, say 15 years.

Boy did my big sister Marci despise sharing with me.

“Please let me wear your clothes sissy?  Promise I won’t ruin them this time.”

“Let me hang out with you and your friends, just this once.”

Or she would really really hate it when I would “share” the news of her birthday presents before her birthday.  “Mom got you a bubble gum machine, mom got you a bubble gum machine.”  Hehe.

Who would have ever imagined that we would be here now, sharing one of the most exciting accomplishments of our lives . . . together.

Introducing our cookbook | Master the Electric Pressure Cooker

We shared the work load.  We shared all the ups.  We shared all the downs.

And because of all that, we now get to share our cookbook with the world . . . together.

Introducing our cookbook | Master the Electric Pressure Cooker

We want to kick this off by sharing books to 4 lucky winners!

To enter, simply leave a comment on this post.  I’ll pick 2 winners here and then head over to Marci’s Food side of things and leave another comment on her book launch post.  She will pick 2 winners from over there!!

We will announce on the 12th of September!

Introducing our cookbook | Master the Electric Pressure Cooker

Now, I’m hoping this “shared experience” is far less frustrating for Marci, than all those obnoxious-little-sister years ago.  I speak for myself, but it’s been an amazing ride already!  I stand in awe at what we were able to accomplish when we brought all our talents and knowledge to the table.

Introducing our cookbook | Master the Electric Pressure Cooker

Have I told you how this whole thing started?

Here is the readers digest version.

Introducing our cookbook | Master the Electric Pressure Cooker

  • Early of 2016 we shared some pressure cooker recipes on my blog, TIDBITS, at tidbits-cami.com.  They took off.
  • I convinced her to help me write a digital ecookbook to get her recipes out there.
  • Summer of 2016 was spent creating and photographing over 70 recipes for the ebook, followed by long hours at the computer putting it all together.
  • Just as we were wrapping it up and prepping for launch in October 2016, we received an email from Skyhorse Publishing to write a published cookbook.
  • Contracts, logistics, and loads of giddy excitement later . . .
  • We added to our recipes and worked through the finer details of published works . . . a world we knew very little about.
  • Then, being led by the spirit, and confused by the adversary, we took a big leap of faith together as we Branded together under TIDBITS, re-designed our sites, and launched a new food side of the blog found at tidbits-marci.com, launched on July 10th, 2017.
  • September 5, 2017.  Our book, Master the Electric Pressure Cooker, hit bookstores and distribution centers around the world.

Introducing our cookbook | Master the Electric Pressure Cooker

This photo shoot you see here, done by my dear friend Sandy, was the first time we looked at our books together.

Introducing our cookbook | Master the Electric Pressure Cooker

We laughed about how the cover image was one we didn’t think would turn out.  At the time of the photoshoot for this particular dish, Marci pulled out the “roasted” chicken from the pressure cooker, and I said, “I’m sorry sis.  But I cannot make that look pretty.”  And what do you know, Skyhorse wanted it for the cover!  Turns out I have a knack for poultry photography 😉

Introducing our cookbook | Master the Electric Pressure Cooker

We ooo’ed and awe’ed about how pretty it all turned out.  We laughed at how ridiculously wore out we were.  We spoke of things we wished we had done different.  We rejoiced to have it done.

And now, we are bracing for whatever lies ahead!

It may flop.  It may succeed.  It may do exactly what we hoped it would do – teach others how to use electric pressure cookers (aka Instant Pots) and realize it’s massive potential to transform your ways in the kitchen, for the better!

But whatever lies ahead, I’ll forever be grateful for this experience that has brought us together and strengthened our relationship with each other and our Father in Heaven.

All that aside, let’s dive into the book and let me walk you through some of its pages, so you know what to expect!

Introducing our cookbook | Master the Electric Pressure Cooker

Once you open the beautiful hardcover, you’ll find yourself at the Table of Contents.  We’ve broken the recipes down into categories, which we hope is helpful.

One of our most common questions we get is, “Is this published version different than our ecookbook?”

Introducing our cookbook | Master the Electric Pressure Cooker

When we put out our ebook, we were not surprised by many readers sharing with us that they just didn’t like to have cookbooks on their devices.  They much preferred an actual book!  We agree, there is nothing quite like flipping through the pages of a book, but we also know some still prefer a digital copy.

How excited we are to provide both options!  Yes, this physical book has all the recipes found in our ebook, plus we added a little over 30 new ones to the printed version.

Introducing our cookbook | Master the Electric Pressure Cooker

While we still have plans to update our ecookbook and add even more, you can still have both the printed version and the digital version if you like!

We are offering a coupon code to take $5.00 off the digital copy, by going HERE and typing in the promo code at checkout:  ILOVEDIGITAL

You will get FREE updates for lifetime.

  12. I’ll take 3 books. Two for my busy daughters who are young mothers and one family or myself! We are lol cooking with the instant Pot and love it! Looking forward to using your new cookbook!

  13. I have so enjoyed reading your stories about how your cookbooks (digital and hardcover) were conceived and born. It is such a joyful example of what sisters can accomplish together. For the past couple of years my sisters and I have taken care of our mother as she made the journey through the final stages of dementia/Alzheimer’s. One of my greatest joys has been cooking for her. When she progressed to requiring softer foods near the end of her life, my pressure cooker was essential to creating meals for her that were flavorful and healthy. I am so glad that I had this opportunity to care for her and feed and nourish her and make her feel loved…even when she did not always remember who I was. Now I am looking forward to a new chapter in my cooking endeavors. Your book looks absolutely amazing and I will be very happy to add it to my shelves. I wish you both the very best of success with the book and I will be following and watching to see what you do next. All to best to you both!!!

  14. There is no treasure on earth like a sister. How great that you are able to combine your talents to create a wonderful cookbook. You girls are truly blessed. Wishing you much success!

  16. I LOVE COOKBOOKS! I am so glad that there is a book I can touch! I bought the digital version and love it. Will there be a possibility to update the one I already bought ?

    CONGRATULATIONS!

  17. Congratulations on the release of your book! You are both so brave. I am rather intimated myself by cooking with a pressure cooker but have always wanted to. I watched my Grandmother Violet use it for canning peaches, pears, tomatoes and cucumbers but have new been brave enough to try myself. Your book would give me the confidence to attempt it. Plus it looks really pretty too! 🙂

  18. Bought a pressure cooker( electric) last winter. We love it. I’ve been looking for this cook book for months. Where can I purchase it. Love the tasty dishes it makes for my family.

  19. My Mother handed down her pressure cooker to me almost 6 years ago. I am so intimidated with using it that I’ve lost many opportunities to preserve some wonderful garden produce for my family. I am afraid that I will process things incorrectly and make my family sick as a result. I would love the opportunity to win a copy of your book and hopefully gain the confidence needed to use my pressure cooker. Thank you for the opportunity!

  20. I have actually been looking for a pressure cooker cookbook and just haven’t found one I’d actually use. Does it have a pressure cooker tutorial? To be honest, I have had my pressure cooker for almost a year and have never used it. I’m mostly just terrified I’d use it wrong and it’ll blow up. Maybe this will finally get me to start using it!

  21. Congratulations! I did purchase your eBook and ❤️ It. Please put my name in for the draw. Your book looks beautiful.

  22. Congratulations! It is wonderful that you two were able to publish a great cookbook that young and old can learn from! Would definitely love a signed copy! Keep up the good work! Learned so much from the website already.

  23. Looks beautiful! I really want to explore the pressure cooker for busy weeknights with running kids around town!

  24. I’m still learning the ropes with my Instant Pot, but I love what I’ve cooked in it so far! I can’t wait to try more recipes!

  25. I love my Instant Pot! I tell everyone about it and share food from my “miracle pot” with friends and family as often as I can. I really like the looks of your cookbook, and love love love all the photos. Lastly, I would be ecstatic if I won your cookbook!

  28. Always believe in the “spirit”…it always points you in the right direction and watches over you in order to succeed!

  29. I love my instant pot and use it daily. I have tried some of Marci’s recipes and they are right on. Hope I win one of your books. I am on SS and have to watch my pennies.
    Keep up the good work.
    Ruth

  38. Momma says congratulations. My girls wrote a book together. And a cook book at that. I never particularly liked to cook and I really didn’t like help doing it. Look what you accomplished in spite of me. All other good qualities I accept credit for, thank you. I am so proud of my three beautiful daughters, Marci, Cami, and Maegan as well as three beautiful daughters-in-law Nikki, Valerie, and Talea.

  39. This book looks great and the photos are beautiful! I have a blog about food storage and would love to review your book if given the chance. Let me know if I can help

  45. This looks like it will be a great cookbook! I have an Instantpot but don’t use it as much as I should because I don’t feel as comfortable with it yet. This would surely help! congratulations!!

  46. Thank you so much for entering me in your cook book give away. First, congratulations! it is a lovely accomplishment for you and your sister. Second, your cook book will help me serve delicious meals to my family. I work till early evening and this would be a huge improvement to my meal planning. Blessings, Cindy

  47. I have loved watching your journey. It is crazy that I had and enjoyed my Instant Pot before you took me along your journey. I couldn’t be more excited and happy for this launch. I have enjoyed the e cookbook so much and look so forward to receiving my pre-ordered book. If I were to win the drawing I MIGHT give it to someone I love. I love your blog! Thanks so much for being who you are.

  48. Congratulations on your new cookbook! I know your families are overjoyed and so proud of you both.
I have 2 InstantPots…still in the box. ::sigh::

I love to share with others the fun of pres!sure cooking. I can hardly wait for my pre-ordered book. If I win the drawing MAYBE I could give it away!

  53. What a lovely morning. It is 6:30 here in northern Alberta. The sun is coming up and I’m browsing your blog. The colours around me and in front of me are serene. What a lovely feeling. Thank you for being a part of my morning.

Good Luck with your new cookbook. It is a true reflection of the beauty within you and your sister.

  54. Did you girls pull the “Mom likes me best!” line?? I love the pics in your book but must confess I would skip over the pressure cooker basicsnd dive right in to the scrumptious recipes!

  55. I am way too old to have never tried a pressure cooker (they always intimidated me) but feel certain I could handle one of the electric ones! And with your cookbook, I’m sure I could.

    1. Sandra, can you handle a microwave??? Then you got this 😉 . I like to call them a crock pot on steroids. They will change your cooking ways!

  56. I have been waiting for this! Congratulations on giving us a valuable resource to help make better use of our pressure cooker.

  57. So happy for you both! My sisterhood of friends love your recipes and ideas. I am so wanting to try your chocolate lava cake, I really hope I win a copy!

  58. This book looks like a great addition to my cookbook library. I could really use one that is just for the pressure cooker!

  59. Wow! The book looks amazing and I am one of those people who prefer a physical copy of a cookbook to turn to the recipe as I am preparing a dish. Would looooooove to win a copy of this book. I use my pressure cooker a lot!!

    Thanks, you guys!

  60. As a Mom, I am very proud of you both. As a sister, it is what we all strive for. Whether it flops or succeeds (I have a feeling it will do very well), I congratulate you both. Looking forward to your next project!

  61. Congrats on your yr new cookbook. The pictures that I see are lovely. What a testament to both of you for all yr hard work!!

  62. Wishing you the utmost success on your cookbook! Anyone who knows anything about pressure cooking should know this is on the “must have” list. Cannot wait to see what all you have in store for us to surprise our families with next!

  63. Enjoy this accomplishment. It is a lot of work. Working on my own project and know what goes into it. THanks for sticking to it. Looking forward to holding your book in my hands. Thank you.

  64. Love the digital cookbook I purchased earlier. This looks like a lovely extension. Glad to know additional recipes included. I too love holding a solid paper book in my hands. Love digital for searching for recipes especially when not at home. But nothing beats a book in your hands turning the pages while enjoying a cup of coffee and dreaming of the next cooking experiment to choose!

  65. The soft colors of your website drew me to be a follower of TIDBITS, everyday! I purchased a Instapot after Christmas last year and turn to Tidbits for recipes, tips, and encouragement to up my pressure cooker knowledge and skills. Today’s post was not a disappointment, your new cookbook has the same beautiful soft colors and the pictures look so appetizing! I will have to add this book to my library of cook books, as I prefer a real book rather than a ebook. Congratulations on “Master the Electric Pressure Cooker” book!

  66. Congratulations to you both (and families) for this book launch. I would love to give this and a pressure cooker to my daughter for her birthday.

  67. What a fabulous story of 2 sisters coming to get her to create, cook and share! I am so excited to get a pressure cooker and try new recipes for my family!! Thank you ?

  68. Will those of us who purchased the original ebook get an updated copy or do we need to repurchase? I’m so excited to see the final FINAL copy.

    1. Nicole, As soon as I update the ebook (which should be before the end of the year) I will send out the new version to everybody who has purchased previously. So yes! Of course!

  69. I just love cook books. Sitting in my chair and thumbing through what I’m going to make next. Your cover is already making me hungry. Congratulations on the new book. I would be proud to have you on my table ready to cook. If you pick me I would just go crazy with excitement. Keep cooking and don’t forget to send me your recipes. Winter is coming.

  70. So, I have had my pressure cooker for almost two years and have not used it for much more than slow cooking and the occasional pork roast. Would love to use it for more and this cookbook might just be the answer.

  71. Wow! I am really excited for you to finally have the hard copy out! What a lot of work went into it! I would love to win a copy but if I don’t win one I will eventually buy one–the recipes sound great! (Three exclamation points but not one is unwarranted.)

  72. I am seriously tempted… but as I peer at the pictures above, I cannot figure out if the measurements in your recipes include weight as well as volume…
Your website recipes normally don’t, but it can be such a turn off to have to refer to a back page or a computer screen when attempting to create a recipe from a cookbook.
