30 Pants in 30 Days

The Problem:

I have children who are growing and wearing out of their pants faster than I can blink.

With warm weather knocking on our doors, they are desperately in need of pant bottoms that fit them.

The Solution:

30 Pants in 30 Days

Rather than going and spending around 10 bucks a pop for summer shorts and capri’s for my 3 girls, I’m going to attempt to be supper thrifty and make or alter bottoms to fit them.

Sounds crazy, I know. But that is how bad they are needed around here.

Feel free to join me in this journey. I’ll be posting pants as I go. Hopefully one a day, but you know how life goes.

Here is the first completed pant project.

These were some Hannah Montana pants that were missing it’s top I found at Wal-Mart for $1. They hit my 4 year old at a awkward spot on her legs and were too big. It took me 10 minutes to chop them up, bring in the side seams, and hem the bottoms.

Now they fit her perfect.

1 down, only 29 more to go!

I have been doing this to. Not 30 in 30 days but up-cycling my daughters pants. It is so much better than spending a bunch of money! I will for sure be following you! I am excited to see what you do.

Kadie @ Seven Alive

What a great idea! Just today I was sewing a pair of pants for my baby because it was more fun than tackling the stack of pants that need mending because my 6 year old can only wear them for about a monthe before the knees are worn through.

Haha, that's a good way to get a lot of mileage out of your kids cloths.

- Sarah
http://agirlintransit.blogspot.com/
