Then I gather all the ingredients and place them in our Kitchenaid blender. I place the frozen ingredients in the blender first, then top it off with the milk, peanut butter, and cocoa powder.

If you want it thicker, which is better for smoothie bowls, add some more frozen bananas or frozen veggies. If you want it thinner for a drink, add a little more milk.

  1. The recommendations I’ve always read are 2 months. But honestly, I’ve had them in for up to 6 months. If you seal them good and they don’t get covered in freezer burn, I think you are good to go!

  2. Hi. This has piqued my interest! I am curious to see if cauliflower is even tasted (I like it, I would have never imagined it in a smoothie!) I presume the amount is half a cup? I’m going to play with this to see if I can incorporate protein powder and make it a post workout breakfast type idea. Thanks!

    1. It is crazy! I don’t taste the cauliflower at all but it gives the best creamy texture without having to add more bananas. I like the idea of trying some protein powder. I might give that a go too, since I’ve been doing a lot of those myself. Thanks for the thoughts!

  3. Hi Cami, I read you blog post this morning, went to the store, picked up all of the ingredients, and made the smoothie bowls for my family this afternoon. DELICIOUS!! SO, SO GOOD!! Thank you very much for sharing this recipe. Please post more smoothie bowl recipes.

    1. Reading this made my day Lyn!! I’m so glad you liked it! You have me excited to share more of the recipes! Thank you.

    1. Oh – great question! I should have thought of that! They are raw. It helps to flash freeze them on a sheet pan before throwing them in a bag so they don’t stick so much. But I just chop and freeze!
