Is Goat Milk Soap Good for Your Skin?

Oh yes! You can read more about the benefits of goat milk soap. If you’ve been with me for very long, you know I try to find all-natural solutions for anything because of our family’s intolerances.

Now, in the world of products, I’ve often found I can place ingredients under a bad/better/best category system.

So many products claim to be “all-natural”, but all the ingredients listed certainly don’t appear to be all-natural.

That’s where it’s important to do your research. Discover the chemicals that are actually bad for your health, avoid them like the plague, and look for better options!

That’s why, for this soap recipe, I’m using goat’s milk and raw honey. It doesn’t get more naturally than that!

The goat milk and honey found in this recipe is so nourishing for my skin.

I’ve found I don’t have to apply lotion after I wash my hands. I’ve even added some Vitamin E for good measure!

2) Melt

Melt the soap base in the microwave or a double broiler.

If in the microwave, heat in 30-second increments until melted to a milk consistency.

3) Add Honey

Add the honey and stir with a whisk.

4) Melt Again, if Needed

If the honey made the soap thicken up, add to the microwave for a little bit until milky again.

5) Add Oil

Add your vitamin E oil, essential oils or colorant. All optional.

6) Pour

Slowly and carefully pour soap into molds.

  1. I hait to say this but even your melt and pour soap base has lye in it! You cannot make soap without lye. Only differance is your not blending the water and lye sombody else is doing it for you !.

  2. Hi! Your soap looks awesome. I would love to try and make some, question though – where do you get your goat milk soap base from? I am totally new at this.
Thanks so much for sharing! I am looking forward to your response.

  3. I just purchased most of the items to make your soap my sister is a bee keeper so I’m using her honey. I’ve been making my own soap with coconut oil water and lye. I’ve been told that it irritates the most sensitive areas,so I have to make a different soap that doesn’t contain lye. I also want to make it for my adult daughter who had acne.

  4. How much does this batch make? As I’d like to know how many bars bbn of soap I can get from.one batch and which soap mold to buy

  5. I’m so excited that I found your link. I just started making soap. My ħusband is a beekeeper, and this is perfect. I’ll be selling soaps at our church’s Artisan Faire in February. We can use our raw honey! It will be called something along the lines of “milk and honey” bars. Perfect for church.

    Thanks so much.
