Take a peek inside this Kidstir subscription box for kids, and discover hands on fun and learning for the budding chef in your life.
Kidstir Subscription Box for kids - Hands on fun and learning for the budding chef.

I must be kidding myself.

Just about every morning during the get-ready-for-school-rush, I think to myself, “Boy, won’t it be nice when Summer Vacation is here and we won’t have to rush in the mornings”.

But of course every mother knows, the joy of that non-rushed morning can only last until the first “I’m bored” statement, which typically begins the first day of Summer.

Who’s with me?

But this year, I’m getting a head start on things.  I’ve already ordered our traditional Summer subscription box for the kids, and we are looking forward to receiving monthly boxes full of hands on fun and learning in the kitchen.

Kidstir graciously sent me a box to review and try out, and after trying just one recipe with my kids, I immediately signed up for a subscription.

No joke.

I first heard of Kidstir from my sister Marci (ironically the same sister who shares recipes here).  She got Kidstir for her kids, and her only complaint was that there weren’t more than a years worth of boxes.

They absolutely loved them!

So because of my little 6 year old, who’s greatest passion and hope for life is to become a famous baker, I decided to delight her with this monthly box.

She had begged and pleaded after seeing her cousins book of collected Kidstir recipes.  We were both delighted to get our own Kidstir collection started with our first box.

Let me show you what was included in our first shipment.

When you start out, you’ll get a Kidstir Binder to store all your recipes in,  3 recipes to go with it, and all the unique kitchen tools your kiddo will need for the specified recipes.

The 3-ringed binder is great quality, which is a relief knowing it will be looked at over and over again.

There are also folder sections with tabs inside the binder, which you will essentially fill with recipes if you subscribe to their 12 month subscription.

The recipes cards are beautiful, colorful and extremely visual for the little ones.  You get step by step images with the instructions and notes to help your little chef.  My sweet little girl loves to just look at these recipes and talk about them for our bedtime story.

How cute is that?

This particular “Snack” themed box came with darling Animal Cracker cut outs, and various sizes of fish shaped cutters, to make the fish cracker snack.

Depending on the length of the subscription you order, these boxes can price from $15.95 – $12.95 a box, which really is an incredible value!

From what I’ve seen, the recipes focus on whole healthy foods, which I very much appreciate and prefer.

And from what I’ve witnessed so far, they are kid tasty approved.

I hope this review of Kidstir has helped any of you with children or grandchildren to teach and entertain.  I have kids ranging from 3-11, and I know every single one of them love this subscription box.  My oldest can confidently cook and begin on her own, and my youngest loves to help in any way he can!

Even if he gets a bit upset if he can’t do it all himself.  🙂

If you are looking to shop other subscription box reviews, I did several of them a year or so ago.

As a busy mama, they come to my rescue many times.  As much as I hate to admit it, sometimes I’m too depleted of creativity to come up with our own activities, so I’ve found these monthly goodies to be very rewarding for all of us.

Head over here to discover your subscription options with Kidstir, or if you want to check out other subscription boxes not all related to cooking, I hope my multiple reviews will be your guide.

Here is to not only enduring Summer Vacation . . . but actually enjoying it 😉

I’d love to hear if you have any experience with Kidstir or other subscription boxes you’ve discovered and loved.  Does Kidstir seem like something your child would like?
