Snow Princess

I’ve wondered where she got the idea for a Snow Princess.  Perhaps it was from Dora the Explorer.
Nevertheless, I totally jumped at the idea!  This was a fun costume to make!
I always dreamed of the white cape for myself.  In fact, I so wanted that for my wedding.  Unfortunately, I couldn’t get the lad to propose in time for a winter wedding.  Something about too fast, bla bla bla.  So I had to settle for the spring wedding.  But that is okay, because now I can live my dreams through my children.
And it might be even more enjoyable.
To make this costume, I used Simplicity 2571 as a guide, though I changed quite a few things to fit my dreams.
The cape will be perfect for the falling temperatures around here, just in time for Halloween.
The blue fabric is tricot, if your interested.  My favorite flowey fabric.
It’s super comfy too.

And here is where I run out of things to type because I uploaded too many pictures.  I just kinda think she is cute, ya know.

Though I’ll tell ya, I was sweating bullets by the end of this photo shoot.
This is why.

This kid is a hard one to get to focus.
But I’m sure with a face like that (and that really cute costume, cough), she is sure to get plenty of candy for me.
I mean her.

What a darling costume and photo shoot. 🙂 I love that it's princessy without being commercially princessy, if that makes any sense. Great job with the cape. I think you should make one for yourself, even if it is just for Halloween time. 🙂
