3 Creative Ideas for Packaging Handmade Soap

Making handmade soap was all well and fun, but I became as giddy as a school girl when the time came to package it all up for gifting

A sweet little presentation makes a gift all the more personal, don’t ya think? No need to wait for a special occasion to gift some handmade soap . . . your love will “bubble” over any time of the year.

In this post, I am going to show you 3 simply beautiful ways to package handmade soaps.

IDEA #1: THROW IT IN A BAG, AND TIE IT WITH A BOW

Find bags and tie that compliment the tones of the soap. With my milk and honey soap, I went with subtle neutral colors.

You can choose to hide the contents of the package with darker bags, let the goodies barely peek through with semi see-through bags, or display in all its beauty with clear bags. You can also add a small tag representing your reason for gifting.

IDEA #2: WRAP WITH PARCHMENT PAPER, TIE AND TOP

I use parchment paper to wrap handmade soaps and breads when gifting.

Just cut a long strip not as wide as the soap, tape the ends in the back and then wrap with some natural looking hemp string.  Add something on top like small florals, a tag or a note.

IDEA #3: JUST WRAP IT WITH STRING

When in doubt, keep it simple. Wrap tightly around and around, creating a layered effect with the string. Finish it off with a bow.
