Is there anything quite as nice as curling up to a good movie on a cold and blistery winter day? What’s even better, is when you can find a TV show to binge watch and let the cares of the world slip away.
A modern spin on Jane Austen, and a bit quarky, I still found myself amused. Typical of Jane Austen movies is matchmaking, and sitting around and chatting and chatting about daily mundane happenings.
While this is intended for older kids, I found it a delight to sit and watch with my kiddos. Entertaining, magical, and unpredictable – it had my kids on edge! I think I enjoyed seeing that more than the show!
This one is very similar to Downton Abby, as it follows the lives of those in service and those enjoying the pleasures and challenges of living a life in British Aristocracy. I watched it for the Decor.
If you’ve never watched a movie based off of a Charles Dickens story, be warned. They are very . . . well . . . bleak. They have a curiously dark and dramatic feel to them, but are very interesting.
