Our Spring Living Room Refresh

The hopefulness of Spring is mother natures way of inviting us to refresh our spaces . . . if just to endure the remaining cold days.

I hope you’ll find inspiration in my Spring Living Room Refresh and enjoy a peek at our new vintage blue rug.

Starting at the bottom, Plush Rugs sent me their Vintage Marceline rug to share with you, and I let the muted colors be my guide and used mostly a soft blue, white and off white palette – with a few floral surprises for good measure.

I actually spied this rug first in my dear friends home, Alicia from A Burst of Beautiful. I fell head over heels for it then, and even more so in my own home. It is so soft to the touch and acts both as a grounded neutral and a touch of color.

This painted hutch is new to this room, but had been buried in our basement for 2+ years. Styled simply with thrifted vases and bowls and lovingly storing many of our toys. I am loving it in our living room!

This chippy blue beauty of a bench is an example of persistence. I first saw it at an antique store for way more than I was willing to spend, but loved it from first site.

After waiting almost a year, the price went down significantly, and I excitedly took it home and coated it with a clear sealer. It serves as a very unique side table and magazine stand.

It serves as a very unique side table and magazine stand. I screeched to a halt while noticing this small creamy white table curbside from a consignment store going out of business. I brought it home for a steal!
