Beat the winter blues with a bathroom refresh. Give it a good scrub down with your favorite cleaning essentials, and spruce up the space with fresh flowers.

Bathroom Refresh + My Bathroom Cleaning Essentials

When you love a space so darn much, cleaning it is a pure joy.

I went to scrub town with some of my favorite bathroom cleaning essentials and it resulted in a lovely master bathroom refresh, just in time to beat off some of those winter blues.

It felt so nice adding a few new subtle decor touches after it was all clean, I decided to take some more pictures of this space.

I’ve also been hording some thrift and antique store finds and wanted to put them to good use in here.

Bathroom Refresh + My Bathroom Cleaning Essentials

But before I show you the details of this space currently, let me walk you through the bathroom cleaning products that I have grown to love for so many reasons.

Eco-Friendly Cleaning Products

They are all products I purchase from Grove Collaborative, my favorite place to buy affordable earth friendly products.  Since I can’t grow anything green to save me, I feel better knowing the cleaning supplies I use are sustainably minded.

*This post contains my affiliate links through Grove Collaborative.  I love to share products I stand by wholeheartedly, and I appreciate your support in using my links.  It helps me keep TIDBITS going!

You may recall I also shared my favorite dish washing products for the kitchen in a post titled “Give the Gift of Enjoyable Dish Washing“.

I keep these cute little white caddy’s handy where I need my cleaning essentials, which you can also get from Grove.

Give the gift of enjoyable dish washing, with a kit of your favorite products to make doing the dishes feel more like a spa retreat than a chore.

Before we go any further, I want to be sure you know about an ongoing offer I get to share with you because I am part of the Grove Collaborative VIP program.

At any time you sign up or buy Grove products, if you CLICK HERE, you’ll be able to get one FREE Mrs. Meyers hand soup and a $10 credit to your purchase.

It’s a great way to save on cleaning supplies right off the bat.

I was thrilled Mrs. Meyers came out with a hand lotion, because my poor winter hands have never smelled and felt so good!

How to Clean Your Bathroom with Mrs. Meyer’s Products

Back to my favorite bathroom cleaning essentials, I always use the Mrs. Meyers all purpose spray to wipe off any surface.

Bathroom Refresh + My Bathroom Cleaning Essentials

I use it for the vanity, window sills, light tub/shower cleanings, dressers . . . you name it.  It leaves the place smelling soooo good.  It was my first time trying Honeysuckle, and it felt like a spring day in my bathroom.

For the mirrors and glass light fixtures, I keep things super simple.  I just use 1:1 ratio of water and vinegar, and good ol’ paper towels.

Bathroom Refresh + My Bathroom Cleaning Essentials

You can of course use any sprayer, but I love this glass spray bottle from Grove.  I’ve seen many who use essential oils in their cleaners use these glass jars, for preservation sake.

Over on the potty (I’m a mom, that is what we call the toilet), I like to keep things sanitary.  To achieve this, I love to use a brand called Method, which Grove also carries.  Death to those yucky germs!

Bathroom Refresh + My Bathroom Cleaning Essentials

I use the antibacterial spray for all around the surfaces, and the toilet bowl cleaner for inside.  I purchase disposable scrub brushes from the grocery store.

To finish things up, I’ve recently discovered this amazing floor cleaner.

Bathroom Refresh + My Bathroom Cleaning Essentials

For bathrooms, I prefer to sweep and then wash the floor and baseboards on my hands and knees with a wet rag.

This Method squirt cleaner puts out the perfect amount of cleaner as I scrub along.

Not too much, and not too little, and it smells great and masks the vinegar smell from the homemade mirror cleaner.

Just like that, I have a refreshed and clean bathroom.

If you are feeling ambitious, you can add a soy candle from Grove and some fresh flowers here and there.  I don’t even have to light this candle for it to smell the room up.  I love their scent varieties!

Bathroom Refresh + My Bathroom Cleaning Essentials

To say I’m hooked on Grove would be an understatement.  I truly share them with you in hopes that you’ll discover a little more joy from cleaning your home.  I never thought I would feel this way, but the products I’ve used have made all the difference.

So be sure to try Grove yourself while THIS OFFER LASTS.  I’d love to hear if you give it a go!

How to Give Your Bathroom a Refresh

While you are here, I’ll take you through a little tour of my bathroom, and the new touches I’ve added.

These marble vases were a true treasure find for me.

Bathroom Refresh + My Bathroom Cleaning Essentials

I saw them at an antique store in a booth marked down.  They came to $10.00 each, which for real marble – is a killer deal!  They had one more small one and I’m kicking myself for not getting it.

Our storage baskets got a little organizing action.

And I decided this space needed a little bit of art.  I found this botanical print and frame at the thrift store years ago.  It’s rotated itself around the house.

But I think it fits in nicely against our faux brick wall.

I have a little collection of 50 cent vases from my thrift store finds.  This aqua one is a gem.

With some inexpensive grocery store flowers propped in, no one would ever guess I was so thrifty!

This bath scene makes me want to lock the door and ignore all the little fingers poking through the bottom – no matter the time of day.

I was sure to restock the TP and towels in our storage baskets, along with washing all the rugs.

I’m not ashamed to use faux flowers in my spaces too.  It’s nice not to have to rotate things for awhile.

I moved the bath salts closer to the tub, so I don’t forget them when I bath my 2 year old.  He has terrible eczema, and our hard water is brutal to him.

If you use a consistent pattern to clean things, you won’t waste time by returning and hit spots that you missed on the first pass. Stars go from left to right and top to bottom to ensure they get the activity done right the first time.
