No time for chit chat my friends . . . we’ve got some important stuff to cover and there are pumpkin goodies to bake.  Today I am going to talk about:

  • WHY DIFFUSE OILS
  • HOW TO USE A DIFFUSER
  • HOW MANY DROPS TO DIFFUSE
  • MY FAVORITE PLACE TO BUY OILS
  • 10 FALL DIFFUSER BLENDS
  • FREE PRINTABLE!!!

Ready, set, let’s go!

WHY DIFFUSE OILS

Happy news for us – there are some incredible essential oils that bring in all the Fall vibes . . . naturally.  The benefits of diffusing these oils are many.

  • SMELLS SO INCREDIBLY delicious!
    • Think cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, orange, ginger, pine, cypress . . . and imagine drinking them in through the senses.  It’ll take you right back to grandma’s famous pumpkin pie all while making your home smell yummy.  *FUN FACT:  The limbic system, which is the emotional part of your brain is strongly linked to scent.  Make sense now??
  • Mega health benefits!
    • As luck would have it, many of the Fall oils also have immune boosting properties, just in time for the start of cold and flu season.  I’ve also found many of the oils I use in my Fall blends are uplifting and mood boosting smells.  As cooler weather keeps us indoors more, you just may be able to stay positive and fight of discouraging or depressing thoughts.  Adversely, many of the synthetic room sprays, air fresheners and candles can infuse your spaces with toxic chemicals which is not exactly a good thing.  (Make absolutely sure your oils are 100% Pure.)
  • Just Breathe!
    • They say the number one way to get oils into your body and environment is to inhale them.  That’s exactly where diffusers come in!  BONUS:  With just a few drops of the oils, you get to benefit the whole family – as compared to topical applications on individuals.

HOW TO USE A DIFFUSER

Not all diffusers are made equal, but they do pretty much the same thing.  You can consider color and style preferences, or just shop by price.  I buy these super affordable ones on AMAZON for my kids rooms, and keep this gorgeous candle-like Enlighten Diffuser from Rocky Mountain Oils in my kitchen.  It flickers and glows like a candle, and is hands down my favorite diffuser of all time.  You just need to make sure you are buying an ultrasonic cool mist diffuser, because heating the oils can destroy their helpful properties.

To use a diffuser, you fill it up to the max line with whatever water was recommended in the user manual.  Then you add in your drops of essential oil, put the covers back on and turn it on!

How to use an essential oil diffuser

I love that the Enlighten Diffuser comes with a remote and various light settings to get the exact ambience I’m going for.

HOW MANY DROPS TO DIFFUSE

Your user manual will guide you to how many drops of oil is best for your diffuser, but as a general guide you can use as little as 1 or up to 10.  The more water it holds generally means the more drops you can add.  Because oils cost me precious money, I take a conservative approach and use as little as possible.  If I am just diffusing one oil, I’ll only add 2-3 drops.  If I am blending oils, I’ll use sometimes up to a total of 8 to get a nice blend.

I rarely do an equal amount of each oil blend.  What I like to do is take all the bottles of oils I plan to blend and bring them up to my nose.  If I feel one oil overpowers the others, I’ll only add a single drop of that one.  Also, if I want an oil or two to be stronger than another, I’ll add more drops of that specific oil.  This is how I came up with my blends, and I played around with them until I found that sweet spot.

MY FAVORITE PLACE TO BUY OILS

I talked a lot about your many options for buying oils in my previous post, 6 Essential Oils I couldn’t live without.

fall essential oil diffuser blends

But to my friends and family who usually just want to get their hands on a few oils without a huge price or time commitment, I ALWAYS recommend Rocky Mountain Oils.  They have free shipping, and comparative pricing that you can usually only get if you sign up as a consultant or wholesaler of another company.  I can rest assured they are 100% pure, due to their thorough testing results you can find on each and every oil you order.  Oh, and FREE STUFF!  They almost always have an amazing offer going on their site.

While you are shopping, check out the seasonal pre-blended bottles found at Rocky Mountain Oils.

Oils can be a terrific pain reliever. You knew that if you rub peppermint oil on your temples , the headache will go away. Also, for stress relief, CBD oil helps me a lot, I advise you to read the best CBD companies here

By far and away Peppermint is the winner in our family! It’s the only thing that helps us feel like we can breathe through colds & it helped calm my daughter’s tummy when we was going through an anxiety patch when we switched school districts…that alone makes me thankful for it! I hadn’t heard of this company but if the ills are pure & the price point is lower, it sounds like another win! Thanks for the opportunity! ?

So far I really enjoy lemon and rosemary. I am looking forward to trying some of the ‘recipes’ for oil combinations on your printable. Thank you!

Lavender is where I started because I heard it was good for calming, sleep and headaches. Thank you, I will get started with your choices.

I have a few favorite oils: FRANKINCENSE, MYRRHand HELICHRYSUM. I was in an accident that damaged my face. My friend made me a blend that included these three that healed me in 7 days, with no scarring. I have also used coconut oil and myrrh in my dental routine to encourage healthy gums.

Hands down the most useful oil is peppermint. I have celiac disease which can leave me with some aweful heart burn that nothing seemed to touch. Until I found peppermint oil. I rub it on my chest where I feel the burn and if it’s really bad I take some peppermint beadlets. The heartburn leaves so fast and the best thing is that it’s natural. I don’t have to take a daily rx for heartburn anymore.
