15 Authentically beautiful Farmhouse Christmas images, to inspire the interpretation of this popular decorating style in your own home.

Farmhouse Christmas inspiration

Farmhouse style.  It get’s tricky, doesn’t it?

Nowadays there are several versions of this century old style.  Modern Farmhouse, Industrial Farmhouse, French Farmhouse, Chip and Joanna Farmhouse, Rustic Farmhouse, White Farmhouse, Vintage Farmhouse, Cottage Farmhouse, Trendy Farmhouse, New England Farmhouse, Country Farmhouse . . . gasp . . .  to name a few.

One could get very confused trying to decorate their home in “Farmhouse Style“.  The same holds true if you desire to have a “Farmhouse Christmas“.

But here is some good ol’ TIDBITS decorating philosophy for you – first derive basic elements of traditional Farmhouse style, and let your homes natural style and function interpret the rest.

For example, if your home furnishings and palette lean a bit industrial, add in things like open shelving display, grain sack stockings, white pottery with fresh greenery – and walla!!  You have yourself an Industrial Farmhouse Christmas.

Rather than breaking down all the many Farmhouse styles in this round-up, my goal was to find images that mimic Authentic Farmhouse essentials.  The inspiration and application is up to you.

So sit back and dream of a real Farmhouse style.  Imagine old chippy furnishings, minimalism out of necessity, a life back to the basics.  Then picture the spirit of Christmas in an authentic Farmhouse gone by.

Enjoy!

Thank you, it was most enjoyable. some of them really looked like old farmhouse pictures. I have lived long enough to remember what working farmhouses really looked like.
