A Thanksgiving tablescape can come together super quick, without sacrificing on beauty! Read on for some simple Thanksgiving table ideas that are easy to throw together last minute in beautiful fall neutral color tones.

If you are hosting this year, like myself, a super simple tablescape is something you might need to think about early. When I saw some fall products while shopping at Hobby Lobby, I knew right away the direction I wanted to go.

We have a long 10 seater table in our school room, which will work perfectly for a cozy Thanksgiving gathering. Let’s talk about each of the layers and accents I added to this table for some lovely Thanksgiving decor.
Table Runner
A long table brings the perfect opportunity for a long table runner. I wanted to keep the centerpiece low, so conversation could easily be done across the table. Rather than using a fabric table runner, I opted for 2 long fall floral garlands which set the stage for every other element.

Thanksgiving Centerpiece
Rather than one centered centerpiece, I viewed the rest of the elements I added down the table as one continuous centerpiece. With the garland as the runner, I nestled in mini white pumpkins inside the garland.

To add to the tables ambiance, I added in several battery operated candles, of varying heights.

This added some dimension the the low runner and centerpiece, without being to distracting – like a large vase of flowers or stems might become.

Place Settings
For each place setting, I layered it as follows:
- Textured green place mat
- Neutral colored dinner plate
- Simple salad plate with a pop of green
- Linen napkins, simply folded in thirds
- Wooden mini pumpkins or coaster with a pop of gingham ribbon
- Wine glass
- Silverware with a butter knife and spoon on the right
- Regular sized fork and dessert fork on the left

Like I mentioned, I kept this very simple since my family is not that fancy. You can get very creative and add other elements like napkin rings, menus, guest place cards, chargers, bowls, pinecones, gourds, fancy floral arrangement, taper candles, brass candlesticks – you name it! Sky is the limit, but I wanted to demonstrate a simple thanksgiving table that was not intimidating or too extensive.

While I kept with natural elements and a neutral color palette, you could get creative and diy an easy thanksgiving tablescape with pops of color by using things like gold flatware, copper plates, berries, pears, apples, eucalyptus, orange pumpkins, plaid linens, fall foliage from your backyard, fall leaves and various shades and textures of table linens.

Another fun thing to do would be to turn on some music or crackling fire on a TV. I did this on our roll around TV which works great for our school room and for events like this where our dining table is in a different room than a fireside room.
Where to Buy the Products on our Thanksgiving Table Setting?
I have gathered all the products that I could link and more ideas to help you pull together thanksgiving table decorations that make thanksgiving dinner a real delight. Some of the items might only be found seasonally at Hobby Lobby and in store (such as the case as the wooden pumpkins and garland), but enjoy looking at this board for inspiration.
Enjoy your turkey dinner and let me know what you like to add to a Thanksgiving feast!
