If you are looking to sell your home, staging it can be very important to make it seem more cozy. A few touches of fall can also release your inner creativity. The bright bold oranges and yellows, with the deep, fiery reds and the pops of green can really help you create a beautiful fall space.

Here are some pictures and DIY instructions on how to create your own fall floral arrangements. Let’s unleash the colors of fall together.

HOW TO LAYER A FALL FLORAL ARRANGEMENT

You will want to start with a plain colored planter so that it doesn’t compete with the fall floral colors. I like my ivory planter that I use in the summer for herbs.

Next, you will want to separate the different bundles into types of florals. Draping greenery, flowers like mums, carnations, and sunflowers will go into different piles. I also added some chipped wheat grass from my backyard to complete the look.

Being a planter pot, it had drainage holes inside, which would not work to fill it with water.  I stacked some jars inside and filled them with water instead.  This also gave me a good base for holding the stems in place.

Now, you will choose the thicket stems and criss cross them inside the jars. This will help them stay right where you want them. Here’s how to proceed with the rest of the fall floral arrangement.

Add in your other flowers around the ones with the thickest stems.

Fill in the rest with greenery to droop down the sides.

At this point I felt like I needed more fill so I headed outside again and took some clippings from bushes.

I could have easily stopped at this point, with a very beautiful Fall arrangement.

But I had some browns I wanted to add in for neutrality and height.

While I enjoy a bold statement, I also love a more subtle arrangement, completely free from what you can find outside, like this.
