I recently shared a post telling you all about how I actually opened up my own antique store booth, and while I loved the feedback, I was also saddened a bit to hear some of my viewers mention how they have missed going shopping for antiques.

While some of these things I will share with you today have been from in-person shopping, I also want to share some great finds from antique haul finds through online shopping.

Facebook Marketplace

First, let me share some antiques I’ve scored lately from Facebook marketplace finds.

First up, this super cute, needs-a-bit-of-love, drop leaf table was something I got for $20.

It doesn’t have a place inside our home, but I feel like it will look darling somewhere on our long wrap-around porch for spring and summer.

I also found this piano. It was completely free for anyone who was willing to come haul it away – my poor husband.

It is over 100 years old but my oldest daughter really needed to learn on a real piano since she is advancing in her lessons so much.

I did have to pay a professional to have it tuned and cleaned up but he said it was in surprisingly good condition and should last us many years.

This piano is going to look great in our hallway but it isn’t quite finished. I think it will be such a lovely spot for it when all is said and done in our home.

Online Antique Shop

This mom and daughter duo from All the Decor contacted me and asked me if I would help spread the word about what they have curated and created. They let me pick some goodies to show you and I had so much fun!

I have never bought antiques online that were going to be shipped to me so I wondered how they would get them through the mail safely. It was incredibly impressive to see how well they packaged every item. It all arrived perfectly safe.

I picked out this incredibly beautiful old wooden dough bowl. I’ve moved it around in several different places in my home and love it everywhere.

It worked great for a fruit bowl on the table, but I really needed a vessel for our master closet where my hubs could dump out his pockets without driving me crazy.

I really love the warm texture it brings and it serves its purpose wonderfully.

I also picked out this cute woven basket.

We’ve been keeping by our door for the kids to grab on their way to go get the chicken eggs. It is just the cutest basket and I imagine it will be used for many beautiful things, like picnics, apple picking and more.

I immediately drooled over all the vintage school bells I found in their shop and picked out this old copper one with a wooden handle. It fits the vibe of our “old school” homeschool room perfectly.

Finally, I adore this little pottery Chinese tea pot and it is the sweetest addition to my kitchen decor.

This online antique shop has the most unique items and feels almost as fun as going to a store!

Antique Stores

Now I’ll share some antique haul finds I’ve stumbled upon while visiting antique stores myself in the last few months.

My daughter got a horse saddle for Christmas. She doesn’t have a horse but it is her number one dream and goal that she is working hard to achieve.

The saddle is a sweet reminder to her to work hard and keep dreaming.

I really wanted to find her something to set it up on in her room to get it off the floor. The minute I saw this rustic bench, I knew it was perfect.

I also got this cute old dresser from an estate sale. I’ve put it next to our side door for shoe storage and it is actually working pretty well.

I think I’ll just start adding some decor to the top and leave it here until I find something I like better.

Then I found this darling antique vase to add to our antique mantle in the living room. It pairs nicely with the other ceramic piece I had already found and placed there.

I also found this amazing ceramic tray that I’ve been using on our side table. It’s perfect for storing the remote and other random things. The texture of the top and bottom of the tray is just so pretty.

Next up is this amazing wool runner rug. It was the perfect size for our kids’ bathroom area.

The colors and design have brought in the exact look I was after to contrast with the light travertine flooring and dark walls.

My Favorite Antique Find so Far!

Finally, one of my favorite finds is this incredible antique desk! I wanted a really pretty desk since it had to be in my bedroom and this was the ticket! It was an incredible price but in rough shape.

The hubs took off the worn-out and oily boards on the top. Then we picked out the most beautiful marble remnant slab to cut and placed on top.

We have a tutorial if you want to learn how we cut, hone, and install marble.

I love that this desk has these little side cubbies for me to place my TIDBITS planners, books, and other office supplies I need while working.

It’s been the perfect product photography surface which I have already made good use of for my new TIDBITS linen products.

  2. Moving into a new home can be one of life’s great joys, but it can also be a time of uncertainty, especially when it comes to decorating.

  3. Please…most of these pieces aren’t old. We have to put up with people thinking this stuff is worth anything!! Please don’t lead them astray anymore, it is wrong.

  4. Do you guys know how or who I can get some great pieces appraised by, I would love too sell them but do not know a price. I am in a rural town in NC. Thanks for any information. Really neat blog, glad I saw you guys!

  5. Your “desk” is also called a library table. My grandma had one and stored books on the ends. I enjoyed looking through them and playing library as a child. Yes, I worked in a library for years. Love the marble top!
