We recently got a new coffee table for our living room! It was a piece I took a nice long time looking for, because I wanted one that fit the vision for my European Organic Farmhouse living room space.

Because the room is so boxy, I wanted to bring in some curves with a round table. I also wanted to bring in some nice wood tones, with lovely organic textures.

In my search I discovered a shop online called Amethyst Home. Lo and behold, they had the coffee table of my dreams, called the Joshua Wheel coffee table.

I spent a long time admiring all the other beautiful decor pieces they had curated. Unlike other online shops like Amazon, Wayfair, Target, etc., (where you can find a plethora of styles to choose from), Amethyst Home has a lovely curated look.

If you love European style and organic textures, you will likely feel like a kid in a candy store looking at all their lovely home items and I know you will feel very inspired.

I personally felt like they had curated their entire shop for me! Everything is so beautiful! I reached out to them and asked if they wanted to sponsor my post and allow me the opportunity to style and share some ideas for decorating with their products.

I am delighted to partner with Amethyst Home and hope you’ll also find some inspiration here.

With their help, I feel like the living room is coming together so nicely, and almost ready for the grand reveal since building our home. They sent me some lovely vintage pillow covers from their collection.

This pure linen throw blanket with fringed edges has completely stolen my heart.

The texture and color is absolutely beautiful. Be sure to check out all their blankets and linens.

HOW TO STYLE A COFFEE TABLE 3 WAYS

I would like to take you through the 3 ways I decorated my round coffee table. I had a lot of fun playing around with different ideas and styles to share with you today.

IDEA # 1: The Coffee Table of Inspiration

This first idea is a coffee table that invites you to pull up a seat, wind down and pick up an inspiring book.

This is my absolute favorite way to relax! Pulling off this look is simple, especially if you are already a book lover and have a well curated home library.

This look is relaxed, lived in and not fussy.

I arranged them in groups of 3rds, which is a very natural way to arrange on any round table.

I made the most of the table and even placed some books at the bottom of the table.

If you would like to shop some of my favorites from my book collection, I’ve arranged a nice place for you to do so HERE.

IDEA #2: The Coffee Table of Simplicity

Sometimes, simple is best. A round table creates the perfect opportunity to keep it simple with a single centerpiece.

In this case, I gathered one of my favorite vintage vases, and had fun foraging the outdoors for some clippings.

Be sure to watch my video to see my yard and forage with me!

This idea can easily adapt through the seasons. Keep the same beloved vase and refresh with whatever is growing outside or with whatever goes with your colors.

IDEA #3: The Coffee Table of Thirds

If you want to decorate with several items on a round table, it’s best to think in 3rds, or create a staggered triangle with your items.

I had fun pulling some collected vases from my shelves and arranging them in the center of the round coffee table.

If you are working in 3rds, it also feels best to have varying heights and stagger your items slightly.

These vases were a very simple way to pull of this style. You could play around with this idea in so many ways while mixing different decor elements like books, bowls, vases, and more.

If you happen to have a round tray big enough, you could also gather your 3 items inside the tray for a really tidy look. I didn’t have a round tray, but I might be on the lookout for one while I do some Antique shopping next time.

I hope you enjoyed reading over these ideas for styling a round coffee table or even a round dining table. I would love to hear which idea was your favorite!

I have kept the “Coffee Table of Inspiration” going for a couple weeks because it is so enjoyable to sit down and grab a book anytime I feel like it.

  1. I am in raptures over that coffee table!!! Just gorgeous! I like all your styling of the table but I suppose the vase with greenery is my favourite as I like to bring nature inside.

  2. #2 hands down. The area needed that touch of simple greenery to bring it it life, with room for coffee & a book, and the table is the star!
