The Top 10 Clean Feel-Good TV Shows to Watch on Hallmark

If there ever was a time for happy, feel-good family entertainment, it is now – with Hallmark Movies Now!

I’ll go into detail on what the Hallmark Movies Now subscription service entails, and how you can get it – but I’d like to first tell you about the 10 shows I myself have watched (or are watching) that are worthy of getting lost in.

This post is NOT sponsored – but I know y’all love to talk about good, clean TV – and Hallmark Channel does not disappoint! It is getting harder and harder to find shows you feel good about watching and letting your kids watch with you. For this reason, I have felt the Hallmark Movies Now subscription has been well worth the $5.99 a month.

More on that in a bit . . . let’s dive into some great shows! I believe I subconsciously listed these in order of my favorites, to least favorites.

*The best way for you to read more about each of these movies is to CLICK HERE and find the Hallmark Channel subscription option on Amazon, and then type in the title of the show you want to watch.

1 – SIGNED, SEALED, DELIVERED

I’ve never been one to love murder mysteries, but who doesn’t love mystery movies!? Signed, Sealed, Delivered is all about mysterious letters found in the Postal Service’s dead letter department – full of 4 lovable characters.

Sealed Signed Delivered - clean hallmark show.

You get to watch as they solve the mystery of each letter, that always leaves me in tears and all the happy feels. Oh – but the budding romance in this show is what leaves me really hanging! It’s enough to satisfy you, and enough to leave you at the edge of your breathless seat! Such a good show with such high moral values and life lessons.

The only down side is how slowly they trickle out new shows. It actually started as a series, then they turned them into movies. Regardless – it’s worth all the effort to watch. I, for one, can’t wait for more releases! Once you are done with the episodes, start searching on Amazon Prime for the sequential movies.

2 – HEARTLAND

This beloved show about a girl, her horse, and amazing family and friends has been available on Netflix and other channels. Now they have it available on Hallmark Movies Now.

Heartland, clean Hallmark show.

It’s a heartwarming show that has carried me through pregnancies and now entertains and inspires my sweet pre-teen girls. Even if you don’t love horses and the ranch life – the stories, the struggles, and the continuing family drama will keep you riveted through all 13 (so far) seasons!

3 – WHEN CALLS THE HEART

I know – you’ve already heard of this classic Hallmark show! It’s everything Hallmark TV should be – predictable, cheesy, overly happy . . . and absolutely charming! Of course it had to be on my list!

When calls the heart - clean Hallmark show.

A handsome Mountie, a beautiful school teacher . . . you know how the story goes – and it’s a MUST WATCH for all Hallmark lovers!

I will add – I believe there has been some politics involved in the airing of this show and the availability of the seasons and episodes (without additional purchase) switch around to platforms and providers. If you can’t get it on Hallmark Movies Now, check around to other streaming services you have. They are also airing new episodes directly on Hallmark Channel at the moment.

4 – WHEN HOPE CALLS

If When Calls the Heart had a sister – When Hope Calls is certainly it! They even blend the stories and characters between the 2 shows.

When Hope Calls - clean Hallmark TV show.

I would say – When Hope Calls takes “Hallmark Cheesy” to a whole new level, but it is endearing and charming nonetheless. Just like Hallmark should be! I can’t get enough of the adorable farmhouse and front porch seen in the orphanage run by 2 long lost sisters – who were once orphans themselves. Love, hope, overcoming trials . . . it’s all there!

5 – CHESAPEAKE SHORES

I really like Chesapeake Shores! It’s a bit more “down to earth” for Hallmark – but still absolutely delightful.

Chesapeake Shores - clean Hallmark TV show.

It’s a story of when all the grown up kids “come home” and you get to watch as these now adult children learn to get along. I love the sisterhood, the brotherhood, and the lesson to put aside the past and look forward to the future. Of course, the super handsome musician boyfriend doesn’t hurt the show either (wink).

6 – CEDAR COVE

Oh Cedar Cove. Imagine that charming “out of this world” town – where everybody knows everybody, and the lead character (who also happens to be the town judge) goes about changing lives.

Cedar Cove - clean Hallmark TV show.

Of course – she also finds love and healing for herself! It just wouldn’t be Hallmark without it! You’ll love the filming and the picturesque town, and dream of going there someday.

7 – LITTLE MEN

An oldie, but goodie – I’ve been dying to recommend this show! It’s a little hidden gem that will warm your heart.

Little Men - clean Hallmark TV show.

It’s the continuing story of Joe from Little Women, and follows the lives of the children she finds in her schools. But if you can’t stand a show with no ending that leaves you relentlessly hanging . . . you better not. I like to close my eyes and envision the happy ending and dozens of more episodes I so wish they would have filmed! They were perfect for each other!!!!! Come on Hallmark . . . just a few more???

8 – SUE THOMAS | F.B. EYE

Since I had watched all of the above – I gave Sue Thomas a try. It’s dated and I can recall running into an episode while pregnant with my first baby – but it’s a very heartwarming mystery show worth watching. Sue Thomas is a deaf FBI agent, and uses her super skill of reading lips to help solve mysteries. It’s another great mystery movie if you are not one for the gory, scary mystery movies (like myself).

The non-spoken love between a couple of co-workers kept me coming back and hoping for more! I also blame this show entirely for our recent impulse . . . getting a golden retriever. All I know – is this rambunctious little pup better turn out just like Levi the service hearing dog! Or Hallmark might hear a few words from me!

9 – THE GOODWITCH

Ok – I’ll admit – this show is ssssssslllllllloooooooowwwwwww. But the idea of some magical, mystical woman – full of grace and goodness is awful intriguing.

Good Witch - Clean Hallmark TV Show

They never really say what her powers are, or even call her for what she is – the good witch. She just goes about doing good, and magically making lives better in only ways that she can. If your life pace feels a bit slow, you might find this show quite relaxing.

10 – MAN FROM SNOWY RIVER

Hugh Jackman fans! Gotta check out this one! Having run out of good shows – I’ve just given this oldie a try too! It’s seems to be promising – in a Little House on the Prairie sort of way. Have you seen it? What do you think? I take no shame in watching older films if they make me happy, and all the reviews I read spoke very highly of it.

DON’T BOTHER: Wildfire

I saw Wildfire pop up on Hallmark Movies Now, and didn’t even question the quality. Boy – was I disappointed! I can’t believe this is even on the channel!

Wildfire - hallmark TV show.

It sounded like another Heartland, where the horses saved the juvenile girl, but it was obviously not filmed my Hallmark. From my perspective, it appears it was acquired by them and then terribly edited to try to clean up the immorality and scandal. I wasn’t interested in the story line or crude remarks, but it made me start to question why this was even on Hallmark. I do know that I won’t make the assumptions that everything on Hallmark is okay for my kids to watch without my “parental guidance” first. This has been the only show on Hallmark that has disappointed me in this way – but I thought I would at least put the warning out there if you are also very mindful of what you want your kids and teenagers to watch.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO WATCH HALLMARK SHOWS?

Hallmark Channel puts out many movies, TV shows, and seasonal flicks for our enjoyment and entertainment. I have discovered a couple of ways to best view these shows and movies.

1 – AMAZON PRIME HALLMARK MOVIES NOW SUBSCRIPTION

This is how I do it. You can get a subscription to Hallmark Movies Now right inside your Amazon Prime account. It will cost you $5.99 a month, but you can cancel at any time. So if you just want to binge watch a few of my recommendations – or keep this forever to see the new releases, this is a great way to get Hallmark in your life. I like this method because it doesn’t require me to get any additional apps or leave my banking information on any other account. It’s just right inside my Amazon account – wherever and whenever I want it.

2 – HALLMARK MOVIES NOW DIRECT SUBSCRIPTION

If you go directly to Hallmark Channel website, you can buy a subscription through them. It is called the same thing it is called on Amazon – Hallmark Movies Now. From what I can see, all the same movies and shows are offered on both. On Hallmark website, it is also $5.99 a month. If you buy a year subscription directly on Hallmark, it is only $4.99 a month, but you are also locked onto a whole year – which is why I opted to go through Amazon anyway. You’ll also need to install the Hallmark Movies Now app onto your devices to watch – instead of just watching through your Amazon App.

WHY CAN’T I WATCH ALL THE SEASONS IN MY HALLMARK SUBSCRIPTION?

A word of caution – as it goes with the show biz, their goal is to hook you and then make you spend. Not all, but many of these Hallmark TV shows and series are offered to you with your subscription and then as the seasons drag on, they will often require a payment to watch that new season. It’s sad, but it is how they make money to keep making movies. Sometimes other streaming providers will acquire the rights to the newer seasons, and you’ll need another subscription to keep watching.

You can certainly check other streaming services you have to see if more seasons are offered there. I’ve also seen sometimes they are offered through your cable TV provider – but we don’t have that. Or you can get hooked, and wait to see when they air new seasons directly on Hallmark Channel on TV.

  1. I got hooked on the Hallmark channel (free with our YouTubeTV subscription) this past Christmas. I wanted to see more movies (and without commercials), so I got the year subscription to HMN. I agree with your choices for the top series to watch! I haven’t watched all of them, but the ones I have watched are on your list. I LOVED “Signed, Sealed, Delivered!” I’m going to start on “When Hope Calls” next. Thanks for this post!

FYI, I am FB friends with Marci. I run the group Instant Pot 101 for Beginners. 😊

  2. Not sure I would call Good Witch “slow”. I mean, in the first season they work their way into a friendship, in the second they become best friends and kiss, in the third we see their budding romance and eventual proposal, season 4 they plan their wedding, fifth they get married and Nick and Grace graduate, and in the sixth, they celebrate their anniversary.

  3. I got frndly and it has all 3 of the Hallmark shows and Pixle and UPtv and others. There’s I think 15 channels and you can record old and new shows and it’s from $5.99 to $9.99 depending on how many devices you have and how much you want to record. Check it out. I like it so far. And you get a free trial. Thanks for your tips.

  4. I remember watching Wildfire when it came out a couple of years ago. It was initially on ABC Family. I’m surprised that Hallmark would add this to their listings. It’s definitely not a show for younger children.
