Tissue Paper Tree Art | Fall Craft for Kids

Tissue Paper Tree Art | Hand print art for kids.
It was late one night, and I was digging through my post drafts to find something.
I didn’t find that something – but what I found was even better.
I came across something I had written a few Fall’s back as a guest blogger for another blog.
Somehow, I had neglected to ever post this on my own blog.  Realizing that this tissue paper tree art is one of my favorite keepsakes when it comes to my little ones art projects – I just had to share it again.

I know from experience, your kids will absolutely love this hand print Fall craft for kids!

Here is what you will need to do:

Gather the supplies listed in the image below.  I buy thin canvas’s from Wal-Mart, in packs of 3, for just over $1 a piece.  It makes for a sturdy piece of art work, and adds the nice texture of canvas.  Even 3 years later, this art project still looks adorable.

I also saw a pack of 12 on Amazon, HERE, which would be great to have around home for special art projects.

Then I bought some fall colored tissue paper at Wal-Mart while I was there.
I used my rotary cutter to slice it all in little squares.  Quick and easy, though I might need a new blade soon 🙂

Place a dab of paint and some Elmer’s glue onto a plate for your little one.

Lather their hand and a bit of their arm with paint.  I used a brush to create a few giggles.

They will think it is loads of fun.

Help them stamp their hand on the canvas and press down to get an even cover.

Then let them begin decorating their Fall tree.  All it takes is a quick crumble of the tissue paper and a dip in the glue.

This is a great project for all sorts of ages.  I was even tempted to make my own.
