Easy fall crafts don’t get any cuter than these tissue paper trees! It’s a perfect, kid-friendly art project that even your littlest ones can enjoy.
How to Make Your Tissue Paper Tree
Gather the supplies listed in the image below.
I bought thin canvases from Wal-Mart, in packs of 3, for just over $1 a piece. It makes for a sturdy piece of artwork and adds the nice texture of canvas. Even 3 years later, this art project still looks adorable.
I also saw a pack of 12 canvases on Amazon, HERE, which would be great to have around home for special art projects.
Then I bought some fall colored tissue paper at Wal-Mart while I was there. Shades of orange, yellow and red are easy to find during the fall season.
Prepare the Supplies
Place a dab of paint and some Elmer’s glue onto a paper plate for your little one.
How to Make Your Tree
Coat their hand and a bit of their arm with paint. I used a brush to create a few giggles.
They will think it is loads of fun.
Help your kiddos stamp their hand on the canvas and press down to get an even cover.
Tip: If you love this craft idea, but dread the mess of paint, you can draw a tree trunk for your little one or trace their handprints instead.
Finally, let them begin decorating their Fall tree. All it takes is a quick crumble of the tissue paper and a dip in the glue. Great practice for fine motor skills!
This is a great project for all sorts of ages. I was tempted to make my own.
The end result is just darling! I love her pile of leaves at the bottom.
