It’s Christmas Movie season, and you know what that means?!  Time for my 2017 recommendations for best Christmas movies to watch on Netflix!

Enjoy 😉

The Best Christmas Movies to Watch on Netflix

We have approximately 1 month to get our fill of the best Christmas movies of the season, including the classics we “have to” watch every year.  Best to make the most of it!  I’ve been a busy little TV watcher, weeding out the Christmas movies on Netflix that are simply to painfully cheesy to watch, and came up with a list of over 20 flicks that are hopefully worth your binge watching.

MY LATEST VIDEOS
MY LATEST VIDEOS

This year, I’ve put them into categories.

1 – MUST WATCH

2 – PERFECTLY CHEESY

3 – MORE SERIOUS

4 – CLASSICS

Netflix kept some great ones from last year, and added new ones.  I’ve put them all on this 2017 list so you can work your way through the ones you want to watch.

In my opinion, what makes a great Christmas movie??

Heart warming, clean and uplifting, perhaps predictable, and perfectly cheesy at times.  Would you agree??

For more suggestions, view my 2016 list and 2015 list and see if you can view the ones that have been removed elsewhere.

Now sit back, relax, and watch as many Christmas movies on Netflix as you wish!

*My Amazon affiliate links are included for each title.  For more information on each video, feel free to click over to Amazon and read the synopsis and reviews.  To find each movie on Netflix, search the title in your account.

*Super big thanks to my mama who helped me watch and narrow down this list.  It’s a very important job, you know 😉

MUST WATCH

I ran into a few movies that became my fast favorites.  Start with the “MUST WATCH” selection to start your movie watching off right.

THE CHRISTMAS CANDLE

The Best Christmas Movies to Watch on Netflix

This charming period piece, The Christmas Candle, features lovely music by Susan Boyle, and is a heart warming story of love and belief.

THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS

The Best Christmas Movies to Watch on Netflix

A heart throb Christmas ghost?  Sign me up!  This love story was unique, entertaining, and the footage of the old home had me at hello.

ANGEL IN THE HOUSE

The Best Christmas Movies to Watch on Netflix

Best word to describe this movie – delightful!  A adoptive family gets far more than they bargain for.

 HOW SARAH GOT HER WINGS

The Best Christmas Movies to Watch on Netflix

A classic story of second chances, and a message of putting others needs above our own.  Perhaps a bit on the cheesy side, but I really enjoyed this one!

A CHRISTMAS PRINCE

The Best Christmas Movies to Watch on Netflix

Be sure to make A Christmas Prince an entire family affair!  My little girls want to watch this over and over.  Fun, predictable, and worth dreaming about ladies 😉

PERFECTLY CHEESY

It just wouldn’t be Christmas without a few cheesy flicks!  Some of these are best watched while multi-tasking (wrapping gifts, cleaning house, baking cookies), lest you pay too close attention to the sometimes bad acting and terribly predictable plots.  Nonetheless, each of these films are entertaining in their own rights.

A HOLIDAY ENGAGEMENT

The Best Christmas Movies to Watch on Netflix

Unpredictable happenstance of love at Christmas time . . . the best kind!  Now where can I find a fake fiance for Christmas?

Don’t tell my Mr. TIDBITS I said that 😉

CHRISTMAS CRUSH

The Best Christmas Movies to Watch on Netflix

This one hits the top of the cheesy scale, and watch it before you let your kids view as it is slightly inappropriate at times – however, fun songs and a fun blast to the past as adults find love at their high school reunion.

NAUGHTY AND NICE

The Best Christmas Movies to Watch on Netflix

Remember, I warned you about the cheesy part – but give this one a shot as a business woman finds love and the Christmas spirit in a small town.

CHRISTMAS IN THE CITY

The Best Christmas Movies to Watch on Netflix

They had to throw in a few too many bare chested men, but a classic love story for an optimistic single mother.

MY SANTA

Santa’s son is on the hunt for the new soon-to-be Mrs. Clause.  Christmas will be in the ruins if he can’t find true love!  Gather all the gifts to be wrapped, and enjoy some background entertainment.

DEAR SANTA

The Best Christmas Movies to Watch on Netflix

This lady needed some humble Christmas pie, and found just the thing in one little girls Christmas wish.

A CHRISTMAS KISS

The Best Christmas Movies to Watch on Netflix

Make this your last choice if you’ve run out of movies to watch.  But it’s stuck around for years so I thought it should be included, because who doesn’t kiss a stranger on an elevator and fall deeply in love?? 😉

12 DATES OF CHRISTMAS

The Best Christmas Movies to Watch on Netflix

A spin off of Groundhogs Day, I could think of a few dates I probably could have done better at, had I been given the chance.  And some that would have been a nightmare to re-live 😉

MARRY ME FOR CHRISTMAS

The Best Christmas Movies to Watch on Netflix

This one is upbeat, spunky, and what girl doesn’t love the idea of a couple of handsome men fighting over her at Christmas time?

MORE SERIOUS

If you find yourself in need of some unwind time, put the kids to bed, cuddle up near the tree and enjoy some films a little more on the serious side.

CHRISTMAS IN THE SMOKIES

The Best Christmas Movies to Watch on Netflix

This one was borderline cheesy and serious, but I stuck it here – because hooking up with an old ex is serious business.

CHRISTMAS RANCH

The Best Christmas Movies to Watch on NetflixThe Best Christmas Movies to Watch on Netflix

Typical bratty teenager left at The Ranch with grandparents to whip the attitude into shape.  Horses seem to do the trick!  I’ll admit, the acting is a little painful at times, but it’s one my 11 year old and I found entertaining enough.

BELIEVE

The Best Christmas Movies to Watch on Netflix

This one was a little harder to predict, unique, and very uplifting.  Folks of all backgrounds come together to help each other through hard times.  The very beginning had a slightly violent scene, which is why I preferred to watch this one kidless while folding laundry.

BACK TO CHRISTMAS

The Best Christmas Movies to Watch on Netflix

Another one best to watch without kids, as there are some adult implications . . . more than I care to see in a PG anyway.  I did love the message of figuring out what’s most important to you, and sticking with it.  Especially when it comes to love.

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS

The Best Christmas Movies to Watch on Netflix

An oldie, but goodie!  Son wishes for mama to find love, and of course Christmas wishes always come true!

THE HEART OF CHRISTMAS

The Best Christmas Movies to Watch on Netflix

If you are alright with a tear jerker, go with this one.  A family battling cancer chooses to celebrate Christmas at the perfect time for them.

CLASSICS

I desperately wish Netflix had more Christmas Classics, but I’ll embrace the 2 good ones that I found.

WHITE CHRISTMAS

The Best Christmas Movies to Watch on Netflix

My kids watched this for the first time last year, and now they know who we are talking about when we say “Bing Crosby”.  Things every kid needs to know.  Raise your hand if White Christmas is a must watch every year?

HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS

The Best Christmas Movies to Watch on Netflix

I’ve watched The Grinch so many times, I could quote it!  Oh wait – I do . . . and it drives my husband crazy.  Proceed with caution for 3 and under.  Apparently, they don’t see a humorous Jim Carry in a green costume like we do.  #nightmaresfordays

There you have it!  The best Christmas movies on Netflix for 2017.  I’m seeing a whole bunch of good ones on Amazon Prime too, so I’ve got my work cut out for me for the next few weeks. #bestjobever

I hope you’ve enjoyed this list.  Be sure to share it with your friends and family and let me know if you found some new favorites.  I’d love to hear what my readers think of my selections!  It will help me for next year.  Or perhaps you’ve seen one that I must see?  Please let us know in the comments below!
